Silhouettes of Elizabeth in URBAN unveils the City and its secrets, Vol. 10

I am delighted to share that four photographs from my Silhouettes of Elizabeth series have been published in URBAN unveils the City and its secrets – Volume 10. This special editorial selection presents work from URBAN Photo Awards 2024.

The carefully curated publication tells stories of the city through photography: sometimes openly, sometimes subtly; sometimes chaotically, sometimes contemplatively. Its aim is to create a rich visual narrative of urban life and draw attention to moments that often go unnoticed, yet reveal so much about the spaces we inhabit.

It is a great honour to see Silhouettes of Elizabeth alongside the work of so many talented photographers. The series was made on Budapest’s Elizabeth Bridge and depicts everyday passers-by as quiet silhouettes in motion. The figures appear in golden light, their paths crossing as part of a shared urban rhythm.

Although the compositions are minimal, to me these photographs carry the quiet poetry of city life. That makes it particularly meaningful to see them included in a publication that explores a city’s hidden stories and secrets through photography.
